Senior Financial Analyst

About the role
The Senior Financial Analyst is responsible for ensuring that actual financial performance is reported timely and accurately, enabling the Finance Business Partner to fully understand the financial performance compared to forecasts and prior years.
The role has both P&L and Balance Sheet responsibility and needs to ensure controls are maintained, data reported is accurate and explainable.
The role will support the FBP (Finance Business Partner) and other members of the Leadership Team in making strategic decisions for growth.
Requirement
General Accounting
- Perform monthly payroll and benefits calculations.
- Perform month end closing activities covering AP, AR, FA, Treasury and GL.
- Prepare monthly balance sheet reconciliations highlighting any risks.
- Ensure that all intercompany cross charging is accurately recorded and reconciled.
- Assist with internal and external audits and the preparation of statutory financial statements.
- Prepare appropriate tax filings.
- Provide back up support to AP and AR.
Reporting & Analyzing
- Ensure that monthly, quarterly and annual performance is accurately reported.
- Support the FBP in preparing forecasts.
- Ensure that all material variances to forecasts are explained.
- Support the FBP around measurement of various KPIs.
- Support the FBP with any ADHOC reporting requirements from other parts of the business including Operations and Sales.
Experience
- Experience of operating in an international finance function.
- Proficient use of Microsoft Office products with very good Excel skills and have experience with large finance systems.
- Be familiar with finance processes and their interaction across other work streams.
Qualifications
- Degree qualified with a management accounting/commercial accounting background;
- a recognised professional accountancy qualification (ACA/ACCA/CIMA) and

- Must have a ‘hands on approach’, be visible across the business with excellent communication and other interpersonal skills.
